Situation: Minnesota IMPLAN Group, Inc (MIG, Inc) is the
developer of the IMPLAN® economic impact modeling system - a
software tool used to do in-depth examinations of state, county or
multi-county regions. The company's original site was built in
1995. Following years of updates to this site, MIG contracted
with Reside to bring a fresh look and feel to their online
image. In addition, the group was looking to utilize the web
site as a more sophisticated sales tool. E-commerce was needed
to support the new and ongoing orders of the company's product line,
training sessions, and data files. MIG was also planning to
add a number of resources to the site, including product support,
and other related information.
Solution: Reside re-vamped the company's web site with a
new design, supported on the back-end by Reside's Dynamic Fusebox, which
allows MIG, Inc to easily manage their site's content. An
appropriate e-commerce solution was selected to support the
company's 6,000+ products and services, and the company sees daily
transactions submitted through the site: the first of which occurred
within two hours of the site's launch.
The site also offers
tools to support customer service, including: an online bulletin
board for customer informational exchanges, a custom-built
consultant locator database, and a knowledge base to answer
frequently asked questions.
The next phase of the project
will include an integration of the e-commerce component with the
company's existing QuickBooks accounting system.
Result: "Reside provided excellent service with their web
site development for our company. We were able to greatly expand our
sales and product support with the new site. I am very impressed
with our ability to easily add or change pages on our site as well
as managing our new on-line ordering system. I would highly
recommend Reside to anyone looking to create a web
presence." -- Scott Lindall, President, Minnesota IMPLAN
