Commentary:
A cross-examination of the above data gives us a bit more insight into the trends and opportunities within this audience.
The average respondent indicates just over two sales and marketing focuses for '08-'09, with the most common combination being "Increase Sales" and "Maximize Sales and Marketing ROI". No big surprise that driving sales and value ranks high on the "to-do" list among a group of CRM admins and users.
Sales, Marketing and Executive staff members have the lion's share of attention from this survey group. After all, what good is a CRM solution if the users and managers can't get the data they need, right? But with all the focus on serving the seats, have we lost focus of the larger picture? In answering the question "Which audiences will be most important to your Sales and CRM strategies...", customers and prospects have the attention of only 30% of our user group. Might be time to re-evaluate how our target audiences fit into our solution strategy.
On average, survey participants have noted three simultaneous initiatives at work in their organizations. And for those who represent the "CRM seat" of the organization, there's a good chance that all of these initiatives point somehow back to your realm of accountability. Most common initiative combo-packs include Email Communications + CRM, or CRM + Intranet/Portal, or all three. With CRM as the glue linking the most common initiatives, it seems that more companies are taking a broader look at integration - moving toward "closed-loop CRM". In fact, a full 16% of respondents indicate that their business is focusing on the integration of ALL solutions noted.
APEX, S-Controls and Integration top the list of what respondents want to know more about in regard to building upon their CRM solution. Chances are, with all those initiatives underway, and a greater expectation for delivering ROI and value, there may not be enough time to navigate the learning curve. That's where Reside comes in. With deep experience across all levels of customization and integration - we can help you deliver on those "need it yesterday" solutions, while sharing our knowledge through the build-out process, giving you complete flexibility and ownership.
